hello there

I'm Lindsay- a Registered Dietitian practicing Integrative Nutrition with a focus on Food as Medicine approaches in the Houston area.  I believe that our plate can be powerful and that the body has the ability to thrive and fight off disease if given the right fuel, tools and support.  I also believe that our current health care system is unfortunately failing many of us. I am able to look below the surface with my clients to uncover underlying imbalances that traditional healthcare routes often overlook. I also REALLY love food. By food I mean REAL food that not only looks and tastes delicious, but that also serves a purpose for body, mind and soul. This website has been made so that you have access to health and wellness information and nutritious recipes to enjoy as well.

Greek Inspired Paleo meatballs

Meatballs are a favorite of mine for meal prepping as they are oh so portable and what's even better is that they still taste just as great the next day. Most meatball recipes contain gluten and or dairy but this recipe however, is free of any allergens or inflammatory items and is instead loaded with veggies and spices!

Fight Anxiety by Strengthening the Vagus Nerve

Google reports that anxiety searches soared at the start of the pandemic in March of 2020 but anxiety had been on the rise even years before the wild ride that was 2020. Though we can’t always control the world we live in and our immediate environment, we can take comfort in the fact that we can make changes and do various activities to support our Vagus Nerve and thus help our body adapt to stress and reduce anxiety.

Ginger Beet Dip

This dip is just as tasty as it is bright and festive and is sure to win over even those who typically don't care for beets at your next party! Not only does this dip look more exciting than your typical party dip it is much richer in phytonutrients and loaded with health benefits.
